The “Plan de Transformation Numérique de l’Industrie” (Plan for the Digital Transformation of Industry) has provided SMEs and ETIs with a new framework, under which cobotic and industrial robotics equipment, as well as software and equipment whose use requires the use ofartificial intelligence, are eligible for a state subsidy. The latter can amount to up to 40% of the total investment inIndustry 4.0.

To accelerate the adoption of the new technologies needed to move towards the industry of the future in industrial companies (cobots, robots, additive manufacturing, virtual or augmented reality, design software, sensor networks, etc.), the government has launched an action plan designed to boost the competitiveness of French industry, as well as its ability to stimulate activity and create sustainable jobs locally.
